You Only Tweet Twice

Today sees the release of the fifth episode of Out of Office – 1.5 You Only Tweet Twice. You can watch the episode here. Jason is once again distracted from doing work as he pursues revenge against the realBondGirrl for the death of his suit. David is fighting a losing battle as he tries to convince him to leave it.

Another fun episode to make, this episode guest stars the very beautiful Elizabeth Bower, our very own genuine TV star (BBC1’s Silent Witness and most recently BBC1’s Doctors). She was great fun to work with, and very patient with us as we worked out what we were doing (although this is the fifth episode, it was actually the first we shot).

We hope you enjoy the show! This is the last in the current block of filming, and we are now going to be beavering away to try and raise funds for producing more episodes. If you’ve enjoyed the show so far, please share it far and wide to help us build an audience, buy something from our shop, or even consider a paypal donation (over on the right).

As the more eagle-eyed of you may have noticed, we’ve had a slight change here on the Out of Office website. The design tweaks have been driven by us starting (somewhat inevitably) to ask for financial contributions to help support the show. As hard as we try to keep costs down, there are always certain things you have to pay for – camera equipment & lights, food, the occasional prop. So if you’ve enjoyed the show, and want to see more, please take a look at our merchandise store and see if there’s anything you fancy. The t-shirts get us the most money, but the boxer shorts give us the biggest laugh ;-)

Alternatively, if you want direct control over how much you want to support us, you could provide us with a direct donation toward the production costs. The link to paypal is over there on the right, and any contribution will be gratefully received!

Something else you can do that won’t cost you a penny is help us to build a bigger audience. You can rate the show over on our youtube channel, and share episodes with as many people as you can through embedding an episode in your blog, emailing the show to people, facebook links etc etc. Every little bit helps!

Making Out of Office has been a fantastic experience and we’ve been blown away by the positive response to the show. Although we have some additional material to share over the coming month, next week’s episode represents the last of those we were able to shoot by calling on favours from some seriously talented and generous friends. While editing the episodes we have been cogitating on storylines and think we have some very exciting ideas in the pipeline. We hope with the support of those who have been enjoying the show we will be able to bring you many more episodes of Jason & Helen’s home-based antics in the future!

Episode 4 release

After much late night faffing, the latest episode of Out of Office is released today.
After a late night of coding (oddly mirroring the process of polishing off this episode!), Jason is not in the best of health, but David is full of the joys of spring as he prepares himself for their big meeting. Unsurprisingly, things don’t go exactly according to plan. You can check it out right here:

1.4 The Smartest Guy in the Room

We’re back to a full length episode this time around, which (on balance) seems to have been more popular with viewers. Which is handy, because that’s generally what’s been written. Featuring the biggest set of effects to date (as in, there are some), there’s a lot of fun stuff in this episode!

Social Bookmarking

A new addition to the site for the launch of the second episode is the integration of social bookmarking links for the episodes. Below the player for the episode is a series of logos that link to sites like digg, Stumble Upon etc. If you are registered with any of the sites listed, please do click on the link and help us promote the show. If you’re not registered with any of them, you might want to take a look. They provide a great way of finding recommended content that you are interested in.

And if a site you do use isn’t there, do let us know. The Wordpress plugin (Social Bookmarks) is pretty flexible, and I am sure we can add it.

It’s the start of a new day. David and Jason work through their morning routines, before a slip by David reveals a new dimension to his online life.

This episodes was a whole lot of fun to make; watching Fergus going up and down on that frame was brilliant! We hope you enjoy the episode as much as we enjoyed making it. First Episode Launched

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re very pleased to announce that the first episode of Out of Office is out now:

1.1 Remote Control

Jason is working hard to get his project complete but what is he actually working on? David suffers an unexpected consequence of the virtual office, while all Helen wants to do is watch a bit of TV.

Now iPhone Compatible

The trailer on the site is now iPhone compatible! Click here to check it out (although obviously if you are not using an iPhone, you won’t be able to discern any difference whatsoever!) Thanks to @gradualist for bringing the incompatibility to our attention. Unfortunately, the iTunes subscription link still won’t work on the iPhone, but we’re working on that.

We’ve been getting some great feedback from people on the trailer, which is very exciting, and we hope that people will like the show even more. Currently we’re in the final stages of the edit of episode one, and are already hard at work on the assembly of the next episode. So we should have a release date finalised very soon.

Trailer Released

The trailer for Season One of Out of Office has been released on blip.tv, and can be found on the site here, and also on the show page over at blip.tv. We’re very excited to begin the build to the premiere of the first episode, which we’re currently expecting to be released in the first half of April (barring natural or unnatural disasters).
