As the more eagle-eyed of you may have noticed, we’ve had a slight change here on the Out of Office website. The design tweaks have been driven by us starting (somewhat inevitably) to ask for financial contributions to help support the show. As hard as we try to keep costs down, there are always certain things you have to pay for – camera equipment & lights, food, the occasional prop. So if you’ve enjoyed the show, and want to see more, please take a look at our merchandise store and see if there’s anything you fancy. The t-shirts get us the most money, but the boxer shorts give us the biggest laugh ;-)

Alternatively, if you want direct control over how much you want to support us, you could provide us with a direct donation toward the production costs. The link to paypal is over there on the right, and any contribution will be gratefully received!

Something else you can do that won’t cost you a penny is help us to build a bigger audience. You can rate the show over on our youtube channel, and share episodes with as many people as you can through embedding an episode in your blog, emailing the show to people, facebook links etc etc. Every little bit helps!

Making Out of Office has been a fantastic experience and we’ve been blown away by the positive response to the show. Although we have some additional material to share over the coming month, next week’s episode represents the last of those we were able to shoot by calling on favours from some seriously talented and generous friends. While editing the episodes we have been cogitating on storylines and think we have some very exciting ideas in the pipeline. We hope with the support of those who have been enjoying the show we will be able to bring you many more episodes of Jason & Helen’s home-based antics in the future!

A new addition to the site for the launch of the second episode is the integration of social bookmarking links for the episodes. Below the player for the episode is a series of logos that link to sites like digg, Stumble Upon etc. If you are registered with any of the sites listed, please do click on the link and help us promote the show. If you’re not registered with any of them, you might want to take a look. They provide a great way of finding recommended content that you are interested in.

And if a site you do use isn’t there, do let us know. The Wordpress plugin (Social Bookmarks) is pretty flexible, and I am sure we can add it.
